Early starts are a bit shit, flights are a bit shit, giving up real life for 6 months to go see the world, is pretty alright. We’re off and I don’t think it’s quite sunk in yet. We’ve both spent so much time and effort working to put life on hold that I’m not sure we’ve had a moment to appreciate what we’re doing. But I think that’s for the best.
We have a rough plan… Well, we know which counties we want to visit, and that’s a start. Our trip should hopefully look a little like this:
- Start in the very north of Colombia
- Head down to Ecuador
- Cheeky trip to the Galapagos
- Peru
- Bolivia
- Chile (some Argentina for good measure)
- Fly to New Zealand
- Drive a campervan around New Zealand
This is very much subject to change (time and money are limited) and the plan might, maybe, need a little fleshing out, but that’s what we’re working towards right now!
First stop, Cartagena, Colombia! We’re in the air right now watching Wreck it Ralph… Which isn’t super interesting… For me it is, I love Wreck it Ralph, but I’m not quite sure of the point of the blog yet. I guess it’s just an account of our travels for peeps who care, and a good way for us to remember a surely pretty forgettable trip.
Peace x
You didn’t have to travel that far, you know you can get Wreck-It Ralph on Netflix.
Good film though.
?
Hope we get a Charity Watch instalment!
